Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, including donation processing and pricing, and keep the sales floor attractive through effective merchandising
- Run all store operations in the absence of the store manager or assistant manager during your scheduled shift
- Process transactions accurately, manage cash operations including daily counts and over/short reconciliation, and handle customer disputes and exchanges
- Help manage the backroom warehouse, including loading and unloading donations with material handling equipment
- Coach and train team members, handle day-to-day employee relations, and partner with HR when needed
- Lead your team in meeting hourly and daily production goals
- Model and enforce safe working conditions and keep the building and property clean and organized
- Support the "You Changed a Life" campaign
- Plan the day, handle end-of-day tasks, and keep the facility secure
- Six or more months of retail sales experience preferred, or demonstrated potential for management
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong organization and time management
- Knowledge of merchandise such as name brand, antiques, vintage, and collectibles
- Experience with computers preferred
- First aid and CPR certification required (can get certified after hire)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
