As the Quality Control Supervisor, you will lead quality assurance initiatives within our manufacturing operations, ensuring products consistently meet customer specifications, industry standards, and production goals.
This position supervises Quality Inspectors and Quality Control Technicians while driving continuous improvement initiatives, resolving quality concerns, and developing effective quality control processes and procedures.
Essential functions:
- Lead and maintain quality control systems that ensure compliance with customer requirements and production standards.
- Investigate customer quality concerns and complaints and conduct site visits as needed.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for internal and external quality issues.
- Complete customer corrective action documentation and maintain accurate quality records.
- Prepare and manage FPA documentation, including tracking, control plans, and FMEA documentation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain inspection criteria, procedures, and work instructions.
- Review product and process non-conformance and recommend process improvements.
- Reject and properly document non-conforming products and materials.
- Train employees on standardized work methods, quality requirements, production expectations, and reporting procedures.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to Quality Inspectors and Quality Control Technicians.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance and support daily production requirements.
- Attend safety training and ensure adherence to all safety procedures and protocols.
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a positive work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of quality systems, including QS 9000, ISO, or TS standards preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively with customers, management, and employees.
- Proficient in the use of gauges, measuring devices, and inspection tools.
