What are the responsibilities and job description for the Goodwill Feeds Program Manager position at Goodwill Industries of Eastern NC?
The Goodwill Feeds Program Manager (GFPM) oversees all operational and community engagement aspects of Goodwill Industries of Eastern North Carolina’s food access initiatives— including Community Cupboards, Food Voucher Programs, Food Box Distribution, Freeze-Drying Operations, and the Goodwill Feeds Transportation Department. This role functions as the Area Manager equivalent for the Feeds department, ensuring that each program site operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Goodwill’s mission to address food insecurity and create pathways to employment across Eastern North Carolina. The GFPM provides high-level oversight of budgets, compliance, staff development, and partnership management, leading efforts to replicate the Feeds ecosystem model in additional rural communities.
Seeking a manager with strong multi-task organizational capabilities, with program leadership & operations skills. This manager must have a proven track record for team building, workforce development and managing community partnerships & engagement. Must have experience in food compliance & safety, which includes initiating and maintaining compliance reporting.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Public Administration, Food Systems, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 year of supervisory or multi-site management experience, preferably in food access, logistics, or retail environments.
- SERV Safe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License.
