Roving Custodial Supervisor

The Roving Custodial Supervisor (RCS) routinely travels between multiple worksites to provide direct, hands-on supervision and operational support, stepping in as needed to ensure consistent service delivery. The RCS actively works alongside custodial staff, conducts regular audits and inspections, and addresses immediate staffing or performance needs to maintain daily service standards and contractual compliance at each location. This position requires frequent movement between sites and close, on-site supervision of a diverse workforce, including individuals with disabilities.

Role and Responsibilities

• Supervise and work alongside custodial staff at assigned worksites.
• Ensure daily service goals and contractual compliance are met.
• Conduct hands-on audits and inspections for quality assurance.
• Provide ongoing training, coaching, and support to custodial team members.
• Fill in for custodial staff as needed to maintain service levels.
• Maintain health and safety standards and custodial best practices.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Assist with scheduling, reporting, and supply monitoring.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has supervisory responsibilities over custodial team members at each worksite.

Required Skills & Qualifications 

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience in commercial custodial/janitorial services.
• Bilingual in Spanish and/or American Sign Language preferred.
• Experience working with disabled or disadvantaged population.
• Technical knowledge of custodial/janitorial practices, including safety.
• Valid driver’s license with approved driving record, liability insurance, and a reliable vehicle in good working condition for work travel.
• Approved background check per site requirements.

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to stand, bend and twist for eight hours.
