What are the responsibilities and job description for the Attended Donation Center Manager position at GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF CENTRAL MICHIGAN'S HEARTLAND?
Purpose or General Objective: To supervise and support the day-to-day operations of attended donation centers (ADC’s) across a large district. This position will require extensive driving.
Essential Duties:
- Continually serve as a positive role model for all employees and customers working with and for Goodwill Industries of Central Michigan’s Heartland.
- Responsible for the operation of all Attended Donation Centers.
- Recruitment, hiring and training of all qualified employees.
- Complete and deliver performance appraisals.
- Maintain updated employee and participant files.
- Administer correctives actions when necessary.
- Develop and maintain an adequate work schedule at each location.
- Maximize the potential return on investment from each location by processing all donated merchandise on site.
- Maintain accurate daily donated goods tracking reports.
- Keep accurate records of all donations collected and processed.
- Review and respond to customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Coordinate all repairs and service calls for each location, following up as needed.
- Monthly safety checklist is to be completed and a record kept on file for each location.
- All safety / injury issues are to be reported in a timely manner.
- Safety classes are to be held monthly with all employees and a record kept on file for each location.
- Availability to meet operational needs.
- Ability to work nights, weekend and holidays as needed.
- Ability to respond to alarm and emergency calls.
- Ability to attend all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
- Responsible for all janitorial and housekeeping functions at all Attended Donation Centers.
Additional Duties:
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain an adequate supply of all maintenance and janitorial items to support the requirements of all facilities.
- Support all special projects and events.
- Oversee and work with all community service and workforce participants as assigned.

- Ability to work without close supervision.
- Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with all employees, customers and participants working for or with Goodwill Industries.
- Implement proper controls and guidelines to ensure maximum return on investment from all areas of control.
- Maintain confidentiality of participants, employees and Goodwill information.
