We are looking for a dynamic Multi-Unit Operations Manager to oversee and grow Goodwill’s car wash operations across multiple locations. This leader will own performance at every level — from developing managers and driving operational excellence to increasing revenue through strategic partnerships and contracts. Primary Function:

The Operations Manager oversees the performance, growth, and daily operations of the Goodwill Car Wash, driving revenue, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and mission impact. This role leads marketing, sales, and community engagement initiatives; develops partnerships and fleet contracts; and collaborates with executive leadership to implement strategic plans, service offerings, and revenue-generating contracts. The Operations Manager monitors key operational metrics, prepares performance reports, conducts market research, and recommends strategies to improve efficiency, service delivery, and profitability. The position also provides leadership in staffing, training, vendor management, technology support, and customer service excellence while supporting organizational goals and funding opportunities.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and expand marketing and sales initiatives to increase revenue, brand awareness, and community engagement for the Goodwill Car Wash
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Transportation, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer to design and implement strategic plans, service packages, and contracts that support revenue growth and mission advancement
  • Directly manages and oversees the Car Wash Manager, providing leadership, performance direction, accountability, and support to ensure alignment with operational goals, financial targets, and Goodwill’s mission
  • Establishes expectations, reviews performance outcomes, and coaches the Car Wash Manager on operational execution, customer service standards, staffing practices, safety compliance, and financial controls
  • Ensures consistency and excellence across car wash operations by monitoring site-level performance through the Car Wash Manager, addressing escalated issues, approving corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build and cultivate relationships with local businesses and the community to develop fleet contracts, partnerships, and collaborative advertising opportunities
  • Oversee advertising and promotional activities, including press releases, public service announcements, newsletters, promotions, and other marketing communications
  • Support digital marketing efforts through the maintenance and enhancement of website content, social media platforms, and other online outreach tools
  • Monitor daily operational performance, including revenue, wash times, throughput, labor costs, and supply expenses to ensure operational efficiency
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly performance reports, tracking key metrics and recommending strategies for operational and revenue growth
  • Conduct market and industry research to identify best practices and opportunities to improve service delivery, efficiency, and customer experience
  • Provide leadership in hiring, training, coaching, and developing shift leaders and staff to ensure high-quality service and operational standards
  • Foster a strong customer service culture by interacting with customers, gathering feedback, and implementing improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Manage relationships with service vendors, support technology implementations, and ensure operational systems function effectively
  • Collaborate with program directors and department leaders to identify funding opportunities, promote services, and support the overall mission of Goodwill
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Planning and training abilities

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Available to travel and work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • The ability to travel between locations
  • Acceptable DMV record
  • May be subject to random MVR or drug screening
  • Possesses a valid driver’s license and state-required auto insurance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in outside sales and marketing
  • Experience with a variety of digital marketing and advertising methods
  • Any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Requires outside sales experience, cold calling on businesses, and developing and building marketing materials

Physical Requirements:

  • Primary duties are performed at car wash locations and involve traveling by vehicle calling on potential customers
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Regular travel to multiple worksites, offices, seminars, training, events, etc., and getting in and out of a vehicle repeatedly is required
