Job Title: Marketing Specialist

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Schedule: Full Time. Core hours of work are between Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4pm. However, evening and weekend hours are required as needed for the demands of the job. Travel may be required.

Compensation: Based on experience with competitive benefits package

Summary: As our Marketing Specialist, you will assist the Director of PR & Communications to develop and coordinate the marketing and communication plans and activities for the organization. The Marketing Specialist works in conjunction with department and agency staff and be responsible for communication and marketing materials production, activities coordination support, reporting, delivery coordination, and department administrative support. Requires ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once.  

We’re looking for someone with prior marketing experience, can take initiative, very detail oriented, and needs little supervision. You should be a self-starter and have applicable experience in social media as well as some experience in graphic design using applications such as Photoshop, In Design and/or Illustrator.

Essential Duties: 

• Handles the graphic design needs for the marketing department to include developing and preparing collateral and signage for inter departmental, events such as Goodwill Goes GLAM! retail displays and promotions and developing marketing materials to support the organization's overall business goals and mission advancement.


• Assists with preparing graphic content for all Goodwill Hawaii social media channels (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn) in support of retail operations and mission advancement.


• Assists in meeting the distribution schedule for all other marketing and public relations communications including, email notifications, press releases, eNewsletters, employee newsletters.


• Assists with the preparation and coordination of collateral material, and signage for inter departmental, events such as Goodwill Goes GLAM!, store displays and promotions.  


• Assists with updating and maintaining the email lists and coordinating distributions.


• Assists with donor processing, tracking all donations and generating appropriate recognition letters.


• Assists in tracking the results of all marketing campaigns and preparing monthly and/or campaign-specific activity reports, including but not limited to sales activity, donor counts, subscribership, redemption results and media monitoring.


• Coordinates MCD deliveries and agency promotional and office inventory orders and status reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications or another related field; or 


• High school diploma or its equivalency and 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or


• Equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Valid driver’s license 


• Access to an insured vehicle with current registration
