What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-CDL Driver/Warehouse Associate position at Goodway Technologies Incorporated?
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Non-CDL Driver to operate an 26-foot box truck for deliveries and pick-ups between Shelton & Stamford. This position also includes general warehouse responsibilities such as unloading deliveries, putting inventory away, and operating a forklift. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, lift heavy items, and have a strong sense of responsibility and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 26-foot box truck (no CDL required) for local routes
- Load and unload trucks with care, ensuring items are secured and handled properly
- Lift, carry, and move heavy items as needed
- Operate a forklift to move and store inventory (forklift certification preferred or willing to obtain)
- Receive, organize, and put away incoming inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Perform other warehouse and delivery duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving a box truck (26 ft or similar)
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently
- Forklift experience (certification preferred)
- Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively
- Basic knowledge of inventory systems is a plus
