Job Summary:
As a Server at Goodstone Inn & Restaurant, you will deliver exceptional service in the restaurant and during special events. You will provide warm, professional, and knowledgeable service, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless dining experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, polished, and passionate about hospitality, with strong knowledge of food, wine, and fine-dining etiquette. Must have demonstrated experience with wine service and crafted cocktails.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, polished, and passionate about hospitality, with strong knowledge of food, wine, and fine-dining etiquette. Must have demonstrated experience with wine service and crafted cocktails.
Essential Functions:
- Provide attentive, high-quality service to all guests in both the restaurant and event settings.
- Take orders accurately, handle food and beverage requests, and use suggestive selling techniques.
- Enter orders accurately into the POS system and relay requests to the kitchen and bar.
- Demonstrate knowledge of wine varietals, food pairings, and Goodstone’s menus.
- Maintain service etiquette consistent with Forbes and fine dining standards.
- Set and maintain dining areas, event spaces, and server stations to Goodstone standards.
- Answer guest questions about menus, wine lists, and other Goodstone services.
- Stay informed about the inn’s history, offerings, and local Middleburg attractions.
- Assist in clearing and resetting tables and maintaining immaculate tabletops throughout service.
- Support team members and other departments as needed.
- Perform additional duties as requested, including special guest requests or unexpected needs.
Preferred Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of serving experience; fine dining or event service experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and hospitality service standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and poise.
- Positive attitude, dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
Job Type:
