Goodness to Go is looking for a dependable, hardworking Bakery Assistant to support our Head Baker with daily bread and bakery production. This is a hands-on position and a great opportunity for someone interested in developing professional baking skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with mixing, portioning, shaping, proofing, and baking breads and other products
- Weigh and measure ingredients accurately
- Follow recipes and production instructions
- Prepare ingredients, equipment, and workstations
- Package, label, and properly store finished products
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean, organized bakery
- Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures
- Complete other bakery production tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Some professional or home baking experience is preferred but not required
- Genuine interest in bread baking and willingness to learn
- Dependable and able to consistently arrive by 6:00 a.m.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to follow directions, recipes, and measurements carefully
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Schedule
- Part-time
- Monday through Friday
- 6:00 a.m. start time
- No regular weekend shifts
Training will be very hands-on and provided by our experienced bakery team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in doing things correctly, and wants to learn more about professional bread production.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
