What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Goodman CPA & Associates?
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.
Responsibilities:
- Perform bookkeeping functions for small business clients which create accurate and timely records to present to the client
- Perform basic bank and credit card reconciliations for our clients during the bookkeeping process
- Perform payroll and sales tax functions for clients
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Report analysis and findings to management team
- Support tasks as needed, such as answering the phone, greeting clients, and various other. This part of the role is secondary
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, CPA firm experience is a plus
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
- Detail and deadline-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
