Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service while taking their orders for ice cream and other treats
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and sanitation standards, including scooping ice cream and assembling toppings
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling, making change, and processing credit card payments with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including cleaning equipment, sanitizing surfaces, and bussing tables or counters as needed
- Upsell additional products or upgrades to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Background in food preparation, cashiering, or cashier experience in a café or grocery store setting is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Experience in customer service roles that involve serving guests in fast-paced environments enhances your ability to succeed here
