FIRST GRADE TEACHER

Summary
Gooding Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a First Grade Teacher. The successful candidate will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and supports the academic and social development of first-grade students. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing high-quality education while collaborating with fellow educators, parents, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of first-grade students.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
• Assess and monitor student progress through formal and informal evaluations, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Foster a love for reading, writing, and mathematics through creative and interactive instructional methods.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and participate in professional development opportunities.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively and implement strategies to support students' social and emotional well-being.
• Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities to enrich students' learning experiences.
• Stay current with educational trends and best practices to continually improve instructional strategies and classroom management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for elementary education in the state.
• Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Proficient in using technology and educational software to enhance instruction.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
• Background check clearance as required by state regulations.
