What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEMPORARY POSITION _ QA ASSISTANT position at Goodier Cosmetics?
The Quality Assurance (QA) Assistant supports Quality Assurance team efforts to ensure that produced Personal Care Product items meet the highest quality standards and that documentation and Quality System support is compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices, FDA Guidelines (21 CFR 210/211), and Goodier procedures. A high degree of accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to detail is a fundamental requirement for this position. This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager or Supervisor.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Scan, electronically upload / file, and archive completed job records.
- Manage the Finished Good sample retain documentation and archive process including sample verification, organization, documentation, storage, document and sample retrieval, and life cycle management to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedures.
- Perform inspections on in-coming packaging components, cartons, and labels to ensure accurate item receipt and to ensure compliance with specifications, artwork copy, etc.
- May support Finished Good item quality inspection for lot release.
- Coordinate with a Quality Specialist or leadership to document and report observed quality issues or out-of-specification results.
- Demonstrate very strong attention to detail and perform date entry with a high degree of accuracy.
- Provide administrative support functions to assist the department where necessary and other duties as assigned.
Qualification requirements
- Minimum of a high school graduate or equivalent GED is required.
- A minimum of one (1) year in a Quality inspection related role (any industry) is preferred.
- The ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English is required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Outlook (email), Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and successfully function in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have very high attention to detail and very good organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently under general supervision, work with a high degree of integrity, and work positively with all employees in the organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Work in an office environment to perform administrative and clerical tasks including operation of computers, scanner/print/copy machine, label maker, shredder, etc.
- Work in a warehouse environment to perform inspection of materials and products. The warehouse environment may include exposure to cold or warm temperatures.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands or arms.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to determine small differences in color. Must be able to accurately see all colors.
