Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cooking and a desire to work in the food service industry.
Duties:
- Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and measuring ingredients
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food preparation
- Prepare food items according to established standards and recipes
- Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers, and ovens
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and storing ingredients properly
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of food orders
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Cook or similar role preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation methods
- Ability to handle knives and other kitchen tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient food preparation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
