The Yard Hand and Forklift Driver reports directly to the Yard Manager and assists with the day-to-day operations of the marina. In this role, you will be part of a team that plays a critical role in providing seamless service to our marina customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Move boats using tractors and marina forklifts.
- Assist in launching and racking boats.
- Transport trailered boats using pick-up trucks to other locations.
- Inspect heavy equipment for damages.
- Remain up to date on OSHA and company guidelines and ensure they are being followed at the marina.
- Keep up to date on all heavy marina equipment certifications.
- Report all equipment damages, accidents, and problems to the Marina Manager.
- Clean boats according to company standards and/or client specifications, which may include performing detail inspections, thoroughly washing, buffing, and waxing exteriors, vacuuming, steaming, and deodorizing interiors.
- Operating steamers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet service expectations.
- Using cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of boats.
- Other duties as needed.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using heavy equipment.
- Minimum of High School degree or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s license, required.
- Clean driving record, required.
- Experience using SpeedyDock, preferred.
- Marina Forklift experience, preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Thrives in a team environment.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
- Full-time - year round.
- $18-$24 per hour, based on experience. Full-Time, Year-Round.
