What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHLEBOTOMIST - WHITNEY CLINIC position at Goodall-Witcher Healthcare?
Qualifications or Skill Required: High School graduate or equivalent. Certification and 1 year experience preferred. Must have oral and written communication skills and ability to comprehend and follow verbal or written instructions. Some computer skills are required. Requires moderate periods of sitting, standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Must be able to hear equipment alarms/timers, and have sufficient vision to read labeling, instructions and to conduct tests.
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of a Laboratory Director, obtains specimens and drawing of blood from patients of all ages and performs authorized “waived” tests and procedures. Report patient tests, after assuring that all applicable QC has been performed and is acceptable. Performs clerical duties as required.
