SUMMARY: Assist and support technicians in repairing electronic products and items. Perform tests and repairs on electronic items, equipment and machinery. Provide technical services to customers on time. Collect payments from customers for technical services provided
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help assist technicians with installation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Also assist with parts replacement and electrical and electronic equipment.
- Perform duties such as furnishing tools, materials, and supplies to technicians; cleaning work area, machines, and tools; and holding materials or tools for technician.
- Focus on being organized and detail oriented
- Multitask and prioritize using good time management skills.
- Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Additionally, technical assistants should be able to work well independently but also under the supervision of a field technician.
- Other related duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work is normally performed in a typical outdoor work environment. Routine physical effort required, with ability to lift up to 100#Ability to work in confined spaces and bend frequently.
Some limited exposure to physical risk as required by regimen of associated position.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED with 1 to 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Must be able to work under direct or indirect supervision of the technician
- Will be able to manage overtime on service calls with patience and not rushing the job
- Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills
- Will have the ability to assist the technician in diagnosing and solving problems based on customers non-technical descriptions
- Must have strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry
- Physically fit to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces and bend frequently
