Position Summary
The HR Generalist is responsible for performing a wide range of Human Resources duties in support of employees and management. This role provides expertise and guidance in areas such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, training, and policy implementation. The HR Generalist works to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring alignment with company policies, values, and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll support, and employee records management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
- Conduct investigations, document findings, and recommend appropriate resolutions to workplace issues.
- Manage performance review processes and provide coaching to supervisors on performance management.
- Support training and development programs to enhance employee skills and engagement.
- Oversee benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communications regarding benefit plans.
- Assist with compensation administration, job descriptions, and pay equity reviews.
- Maintain accurate HRIS data and generate reports as needed.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness and employee experience.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist capacity.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workers' compensation processes.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience working for a commercial real estate, development, or property management firm preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required.
