Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, welding, and mechanical repairs.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately execute projects.
- Conduct facilities inspections to identify issues proactively and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime.
- Manage residential painting projects with attention to detail and quality standards.
- Supervise or assist with small teams on maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with residents or clients about repair timelines and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to electrical systems, welding procedures, and general facilities maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a maintenance person or in facilities maintenance with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of electrical systems including schematics interpretation and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Skilled in welding techniques with the ability to perform metal repairs safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
- Strong customer service skills combined with supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting.
- Proficiency in residential painting techniques along with general facilities upkeep.
- Experience working within manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate tasks effectively across teams and clients.
