Good Time Creative
Chicago, IL Full Time
POSTED ON 8/4/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 1/30/2027

Good Time Creative is seeking an Experiential Designer to develop compelling, memorable, and unique branded trade show exhibits & experiential activations. This role combines creative strategy, environmental and spatial design, graphic design, and brand storytelling to translate client objectives into impactful physical experiences.

The Experiential Designer will collaborate closely with account management, creative, production, and external design partners to ensure each concept is thoughtful, visually engaging, feasible to produce, and consistent with the client’s brand identity. This role will oversee projects from initial research and concept development through client presentation to fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Research each client’s brand positioning, visual identity, personality, target audience, and project goals before beginning concept development.
  • Translate creative briefs and client objectives into thoughtful experiential concepts that communicate a clear creative strategy.
  • Develop mood boards, inspiration decks, spatial concepts, and floor plans that effectively communicate the look, feel, functionality, and intent of each experience.
  • Create concepts for branded environments that reinforce key messaging while thoughtfully considering the guest journey and overall experience.
  • Communicate design direction to contract designers and oversee the development of concepts into polished, photorealistic renderings. Bonus points if you have experience working in Sketchup and can render your own concepts!
  • Support the account management team in presenting client facing creative concepts clearly through mood imagery, floor plans, design details, and other visual storytelling tools.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director, account management, and production teams to bring concepts to life within approved budgets and timelines.
  • Oversee experiential design projects through every stage, including creative briefing, concept development, client presentations, revisions, and fabrication/production.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while consistently meeting internal and client-facing deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Stay informed about experiential design trends, materials, fabrication techniques, and emerging technologies.
  • Work additional hours when necessary to meet important project deadlines, particularly during peak production seasons. Overtime is not regularly required but may occasionally be expected.
