Major Duties
- Provide with children who are in foster care with LifeBooks to assist in helping them gain an understanding of being in care.
- Meet weekly with child and work on the Lifebook and issues that arise. Meet with the foster parent to discuss what comes up in the Lifebook if necessary.
- Provide educational materials and information concerning kingap and adoption
- Develop resources and linkages to meet the family's needs.
- Work with child to understand parents' role in kingap and adoption
- Collaborate and coordinate with other EFFC Case Planning team responsible for the children intern in working with, and plan together for child to best understand current life situation.
- Attend continuing education workshops and trainings.
- Perform statistical, narrative and record keeping duties as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Must have experience working with children.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work cohesively as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
- Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
