Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our preschool team. The successful candidate will provide support to the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young students. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and possess a strong understanding of childhood development. This role requires someone who is passionate about teaching and has a talent for managing classrooms.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in preparing and implementing lesson plans, ensuring that all activities align with our curriculum.
- Provide individualized support to students, focusing on their unique needs and abilities.
- Help to maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Develop and implement strategies for managing classroom behavior, ensuring that all students feel supported and engaged.
- Assist with supervising and leading small groups of children during activities.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
Experience:
- Experience in early childhood education or a related field. We provide on the job training as well.
- A background in childcare and caregiving is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with nannying or working in a preschool setting, preferred but not required.
- A passion for seeking Christ while educating and supporting young children.
Skills:
- Knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education.
- Classroom management and behavior management skills.
- Experience in a preschool or early childhood education setting.
- Excellent caregiving and childcare skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
