Toddler/Preschool Assistant Teacher

Good Shepherd's Little Lambs Early Learning Center is hiring a dynamic Assistant Teacher to work with children at one of our three locations. This position is in one of our toddler or preschool classes and works closely with other classrooms in the center. The assistant teacher will work up to 8 hours each day to assist the lead teacher with their curriculum and classroom management, and will also be responsible to help with classroom supervision. This position requires the ability to communicate, listen, and work well with others in a team environment.

Daily Duties Include:

• Working with one or more Preschool Teachers or classrooms.
• Communicating with parents about their child’s day.
• Getting down on the floor and engaging in child's play.
• Properly responding to injuries and behavioral incidents.
• Providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for children to learn and grow.

• Must clear full background check and pass health screening.
• Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must have Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Able to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm with occasional days off and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 35 pounds. Must be able to change diapers.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels.
• Must also be able to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
