Cook – Priest’s Kitchen

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 10am - 6:30pm

This position involves preparing meals in a home-like setting for our retired priests living at the Clara Welty Apartments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious and appetizing meals while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment. Duties include following pre-planned menus, accommodating specific dietary needs, and managing the ordering and inventory of food and supplies.

The candidate must demonstrate a compassionate and respectful approach when interacting with our retired priests, along with flexibility and patience in meeting their needs. Previous cooking experience is required. A West Virginia Food Handler’s Card is preferred, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
