Job Title: Dietary Aide (12:30 - 8:30 pm)
Supervisor: Dietary Manager

Summary of the Position:
Performs a variety of dietary duties pertaining to the daily operation of the dietary department.
Work Hours: 12:30p - 8:30p
Work required every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
Pulling food trucks which weigh approximately 100lbs.
Working 1 of 4 different positions in the dish room – 2 times per shift.
Understanding the daily menus and setting up resident's diet trays accurately.
Delivering nourishments and evening snacks to all sections of the nursing home.
Restocking juice cart daily for morning shift.
Performs any other duties as directed by the Dietary Manager or Evening Supervisor.
Adheres to all sanitation and health standards at Good Shepherd Nursing Home LC.
Must be able to place diet cards in order and be able to set them up for next meal.
Dresses in a clean manner and uses proper hygiene.

Experience/Education:
High school graduate, high school student or equivalence of a G.E.D.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
Must be able to read and clearly understand menus and tray cards. Prolonged standing is a requirement 75% of a work day. Heavy lifting is a requirement 25-50lbs. Pulling food trucks, approximate weight 100lbs. Bending is a requirement when working in dish room and cleaning.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime if needed.
Working Conditions:
Works under conditions of sudden changes in temperature when entering refrigerated areas or working around serving counters and cooking equipment. Subject to burns from hot foods and utensils, cuts from knives, and the possibility of injury from falls on slippery floors.
