Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Kindergarten Teacher based in Simi Valley, CA. The Kindergarten Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans, delivering engaging and age-appropriate instruction, managing classroom activities, assessing student progress, and fostering a supportive learning environment. The role involves close collaboration with school staff and families to support the academic and personal growth of students, while adhering to the school's educational mission and values.
Kindergarten Teacher – Good Shepherd Lutheran School (Simi Valley)
Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Simi Valley is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to join our school family.
Our kindergarten program features small class sizes, allowing teachers to truly know each child and provide individualized attention as they grow and learn.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and the ability to create developmentally appropriate curricula.
- 1-2 years minimum experience in teaching and training young learners in both group and one-on-one settings.
- Teaching credential preferred, but candidates actively working toward completion will be considered
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
- A love for children and a desire to help them grow in faith and learning
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families
- Strong foundation in Education principles and teaching methods tailored to kindergarten-age children.
- Exceptional Communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Strong personal relationship with Jesus
