Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor residents’ conditions, report changes, and update care plans as necessary.
- Supervise and mentor CNAs and other nursing staff to ensure quality care is delivered.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, with a current nursing license from the State of Nebraska or a compact state recognized by the Nebraska Board of Nursing at the time of hire and maintain the license in good standing throughout the course of employment.
- Must be certified in basic life support/cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or complete certification within the first month of employment. Must maintain certification throughout employment.
- Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment preferred.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility is preferred.
