What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Assistant position at GOOD SHEPHERD HOME?
Good Shepherd Home, a Christian based long term care setting is seeking Laundry Assistants.
Responsible for:
1.Sort linens and clothing to be washed.
2. Wash at proper temperature using designated amounts of detergents.
3. Dry and fold linens and clothing to be returned to supply areas and resident rooms.
4. Handle garments in accordance with sanitary conditions.
5. Return linens and personal clothing to supply areas and resident rooms.
6. Maintain all laundry carts in clean, sanitary condition.
7. Leave machines clean at the end of each shift.
8. Clean lint from dryers at the end of each shift.
9. Keep laundry areas clean to include floors, walls and equipment.
10. Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Typical work hours are 5am to 1230pm with rotating weekends. Company meals and snacks provided.'
