Definition of Position:
The Recruiter is responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for difficult-to-fill healthcare positions across the organization. This role works closely with the Human Resources Manager to identify hard-to-fill roles and collaborates with department managers to develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies. The Recruiter also maintains and updates the applicant tracking system (ATS) and represents the organization at job fairs, recruitment events, and community outreach programs. This position plays a key role in promoting the organization’s employer brand and supporting overall talent acquisition goals.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Works with the Human Resources Manager to identify current and future hard-to-fill
- Partner with department leaders and hiring managers to identify current and future staffing needs, with an emphasis on hard-to-fill positions.
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies using a variety of channels, including job boards, social media, networking, professional associations, and direct outreach.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial candidate assessments, and coordinate interviews.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of candidate interactions within the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Ensure that the applicant tracking system (ATS) is up to date.
- Represent the organization at career fairs, college recruitment events, and other external outreach efforts to build a strong candidate pipeline.
- Establish and maintain relationships with educational institutions, community organizations, and professional groups.
- Monitor recruiting metrics and provide regular reports to HR leadership.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of recruitment policies, procedures, and tools.
- Develops, implements, and maintains recruitment and retention programs, materials, equipment, and displays
- Monitors program success and failures, research new programs, and monitors development of new recruits
- Ensure recruitment practices remain in compliance with federal and state employment laws and organizational policies.
- Support onboarding processes and collaborate with HR team members to ensure a seamless new hire experience.
- Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position.
- The employee supports the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human resources
Licenses/ certifications/ registrations
Required: NA
Preferred: SHRM or PHR certified
Experience
Required: Minimum of 2 years of recruitment experience. Minimum of 1 year of healthcare recruitment experience.
Preferred: High volume environment experience.

- Proven success in sourcing and recruiting for difficult-to-fill roles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requisitions.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel locally to recruitment events as needed.
- This is a hybrid position with a mix of remote work and on-site presence as needed for meetings, events, and collaboration with hiring managers.
- On-site attendance may be required for job fairs, community outreach, or interaction in clinical areas.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional walking, standing, bending, or lifting light office items (up to 25 pounds). Visual acuity to view computer screens and read detailed financial documents. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically. May be required to move throughout the healthcare facility, including administrative and clinical areas.
Working Conditions:
This position operates in a professional office setting within a healthcare facility. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The office environment is climate-controlled, well-lit, and ergonomically designed for extended computer work. While this role is primarily office-based and does not involve direct patient care, the employee may occasionally be present in clinical areas or interact with staff working in clinical environments. As such, there is a potential for exposure to infectious diseases. The organization provides appropriate training and personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed to ensure safety.
