The Physical Therapy Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, daily operations, and performance of the Physical Therapy Department. This includes ensuring high-quality patient care, overseeing clinical and administrative workflows, supervising departmental staff, supporting budget and resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with organizational, regulatory, and professional standards. The Physical Therapy Manager collaborates with the Director of Physical Therapy and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, staff performance, and departmental efficiency. This position provides leadership, direction, instruction, and evaluation for professional and supportive personnel and plays an active role in staff development, performance management, and departmental quality improvement.
- Responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of Physical Therapy department operations.
- Ensures consistent interpretation and implementation of physician prescriptions through supervision of staff.
- Manages scheduling, workload distribution, and resource utilization for efficient department function.
- Leads department-level initiatives involving staff competency, performance evaluations, and corrective action processes.
- Supports the Director with administrative planning, staffing needs, and departmental development.
Education
Required: Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy school.
Licenses/ certifications/ registrations
Preferred: NA
Experience
Preferred: minimum of Eight (8) years clinical experience. Prior supervisory or management experience in a therapy or healthcare setting.
