Essential Functions
- Responsible for the safety of all children
- Actively engaged in the learning of children
- Plan and implement age appropriate lesson plans
- Provide direct support to fellow staff members
- Ensure that classrooms are in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Serve as a role model to the children in the group through appearance and actions
- Maintain an environment (both indoors and outdoors) that is safe , clean and inviting
- Ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff members and families
- Keep the Director informed of any necessary information regarding the care and safety of children
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings, center events and family meetings as requested
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- A love for children
- High School Diploma
- Pass a local and FBI background check
- Experience working with children between the ages of birth to four years, and a passion for working with this age group
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as, strong organizational skills
- Must be able to actively participating in the program while ensuring the health and safety regulations are met or exceeded
- A desire to further your knowledge and education in the Early Childhood field
- Completion of Department of Children and Families 45 childcare training hours
- Department of Children and Families Staff Credentials is preferred but not mandatory.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
