Per Diem Social Worker
Named by The Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for the last four years, our community-based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization seeks a Per Diem Social Worker to join its expanding clinical team. Travel is required for this position. Care is provided in patient’s private homes and residential facilities throughout Greater Boston and parts of Metrowest
Job Responsibilities:
The Per Diem Social Worker participates as a member of the Good Shepherd interdisciplinary team and provides social services including short-term individual counseling, crisis intervention, assistance in providing information and preparation of advance directives, and assistance with funeral planning issues and issues related to transfer of responsibilities regarding fiscal, legal and health care decisions.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- MSW, licensed in Massachusetts
- Experience in individual and family counseling.
- Experience with people with terminal illnesses in a hospice setting is preferred.
