Position Details: Full time: Tuesday - Friday (9am - 5pm) Saturday (8am - 4pm) = 75hours/ bi - weekly pay period ** will need some flexibility for night and weekend programs, but this is planned ahead of time for proper planning. **
Life Enrichment Leader Position Summary : As a Life Enrichment Leader at Good Shepherd Fairview Home, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities that enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents. Engaging residents in activities that stimulate a sense of cultural, spiritual, diversional, physical, political, social, and intellectual health. Your role will involve creating and executing engaging programs that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity within a safe and supportive environment.
Life Enrichment Leader Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a diverse range of recreational programs tailored to the interests and needs of our residents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create activity plans that support residents' therapeutic goals.
- Coordinate and lead group activities, one-on-one sessions, and outings that encourage socialization and engagement.
- Assess residents’ abilities and preferences to customize activity plans that cater to their individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress in recreational activities.
- Assess incoming residents, along with managing paperwork for residents who already reside in the building.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of activity spaces and equipment.
Essential Job Requirements
Education: High School diploma or GED
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. Ability to read, write and speak the English language
Experience: Previous activities experience preferred
