Laundry Attendant
Job Type: Part-Time
Hours: 24–32 hours per week
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Job Summary
Good Shepherd Care Center is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient laundry operation to ensure residents have clean linens, clothing, and other necessary items.
The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and is able to work independently while contributing positively to the care center team.
Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing, linens, towels, and other laundry items.
- Follow proper procedures for handling soiled and clean laundry.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laundry area.
- Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and properly.
- Identify and report damaged or missing items.
- Deliver clean laundry to the appropriate areas or residents.
- Follow facility policies and procedures, including infection-control and safety guidelines.
- Work cooperatively with nursing, housekeeping, and other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
