About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Society facility. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to clients/patients/residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments to help them achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include assessing clients/patients/residents, designing occupational therapy treatments, conducting evaluations, providing interventions, administering occupational therapy programs, documenting client's/patient's/resident's information, establishing therapeutic plans, and modifying them if necessary. Additionally, you will participate in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society, and Sanford Health. You may be asked to supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide patient/resident care, treatment, or other services.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have an appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure and be licensed in the state(s) of practice as an Occupational Therapist. Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred when working at a Sanford Health Facility. A valid driver's license may be required for some positions. We also require Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers, which must be obtained within the first 60 days of employment. In the state of South Dakota and Iowa, new graduates in the process of testing with the board, will be considered with the possession of a temporary license.
