At the Good Samaritan Society, we are committed to providing high-quality care and services to our seniors in a Christian environment.
We are seeking a qualified Nursing Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional care to our residents. As a member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and be certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the State Board of Nursing. Prior experience in long-term care is preferred, but not required.
In this role, you will assist residents with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care. You will also aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, document resident interactions, and communicate changes in resident condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
Additionally, you will participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed and maintain all department-specific required certifications. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education credits are required annually.
