Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) will provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents
* Assist residents with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs
* Provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents
* Assist residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate
* Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary
Qualifications
* High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
* Minimum age of 16
* Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
* Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement
