Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Warming Center Staff, your primary responsibility is to provide support, care, and assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness. Your role is crucial in supervising these vulnerable populations who are attending the Warming Center.
- Welcoming and registering participants.
- Creating a secure, amicable, and supportive environment.
- Demonstrating compassion while assisting those who struggle to engage with service providers.
- Skillfully defusing conflicts, particularly in potentially volatile situations.
- Assisting with food distribution.
- Arranging Warming Center setup, including distributing bedding and amenities.
- Enforcing adherence to rules, particularly regarding unsafe behaviors. If needed, promptly contacting public safety personnel for clients displaying inappropriate or unsafe conduct.
- Responding appropriately to emergencies.
- Maintaining accurate daily records and timely reporting following established protocols.
- Ensuring the facility remains orderly and clean.
- Providing post-shift information to the supervisor, such as participant numbers, supply requirements, and incident reports.
- Be prepared to respond to crisis situations promptly and effectively, providing immediate assistance and access to appropriate resources when needed.
- Utilizing a company vehicle to pick up essential supplies.
- Responsible for promptly notifying the manager of any work orders that need to be submitted or supplies that need to be ordered.
- Responsible for attending staff meetings, ensuring timely completion of training, and accurately completing timecards.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent: A minimum educational requirement to demonstrate basic literacy and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:
Employment Eligibility Verification:

Negative Tuberculosis Test:
- Must provide documentation of a recent negative tuberculosis (TB) test result to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Background Screening:
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background screening, which may include criminal record checks, employment history verification, and reference checks.
Pre-Employment Drug Screening:
