Job Summary And Qualifications

• You will be responsible for the activities, supervision, management and direction of the Medical Unit in accordance with organizational and departmental philosophy and goals
• This position will assist the Associate Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining the highest degree of clinical and operational performance of the Department
• You will be responsible for leadership of Medical Unit personnel and/ or students and will function as a resource for physicians, nursing staff and patients
• You will be responsible for the delivery of professional nursing care and provides leadership to staff
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; B.A./ B.S. required
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the Board of Registered Nurses of the State of California required
• Active BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• 3 years proven experience in implementing successful patient and physician satisfaction initiatives in clinical work environment
• 1-3 years of progressive hospital/ nursing management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Evidence of experience which defines competency in Medical unit, hospital and healthcare management
• Ability to manage department employee and labor relations/ Human Resource related issues
