Houseperson (Part Time)

The Good Nite Inn is seeking candidates for our Part-Time Houseperson position. This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the public areas and guests rooms of the hotel. This position will also assist the Maintenance Engineer and/or Housekeeping with projects as may be needed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Stock room attendant carts with supplies.
• Maintain organization, restock supplies and rotate linen in storerooms.
• Remove trash and dirty linens from room attendant carts/guest rooms.
• Regularly clean public areas including hallways, stairwells, parking lot, pool, etc.
• Report maintenance problems and/or complete maintenance repair orders.
• Spot cleaning walls, carpets, light fixtures, etc.
• Deliver special request items such as cribs or other supplies to guest rooms.
• Clean guest room carpet with carpet extractor and appropriate machines.
• Perform preventative maintenance in conjunction with maintenance team.
• Report all items needing repairs and unsafe conditions to supervisor
• Be familiar with location and purpose of all shut-off valves and switches in the event of emergency.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor or Manager. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. This includes helping the maintenance engineer with various maintenance projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous cleaning/maintenance experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.90 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
