Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience within our optometry office. This position involves coordinating patient care, managing administrative tasks, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about services offered. Greet every patient with a smile.Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA privacy regulations.Assist with insurance verification and billing inquiries, such as determining a patient's copay and differentiating between use of vision vs. medical plan.Incorporate organizational skills and accuracy to order, track and stock contact lens supplies for patients and inventory.Support all staff members by offering to help whenever and however you can.Have an outgoing personality and prioritize kindness towards all customers and coworkers.Participate in keeping the office clean and organized.QualificationsPREFERRED: At least 2 years of previous experience in a medical or optometry office setting.PREFERRED: Must have exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.PREFERRED: Bachelor's DegreeProficiency in computers and understanding of electronic health record systems.Skilled in medical administrative support functions including scheduling, record keeping, and patient interaction.Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient documentation.Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to manage individual responsibilities effectively.Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service to patients.Acts as a representative for our brand to help educate and excite others about our mission and values.Is willing to learn new skills.Must be punctual and reliable.Has the availability to work Full Time, Tuesday - Saturday.Join our team as a Medical Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator and contribute to enhancing the overall patient experience while supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care.Company DescriptionGrowing private optometry practice located on bustling Covert Avenue in Stewart Manor.
