Duties:
- Assist optometrist with patient exams and procedures
- Perform preliminary tests and measurements, such as visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry
- Obtain patient medical history and input data into electronic medical records system (Rev)
- Handle medical billing and coding for insurance claims
- At times may need to manage front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and greeting patients
Experience:
- Previous experience as an optometric technician or in a similar role desired but not required
- Familiarity with EHR or other electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients
