A day in this roleYou’ll join the Operations Maintenance team and move from site to site keeping high-throughput facilities running. One week you might be installing components on an automated packaging line; the next, you’re fine-tuning a conveyor system to eliminate a bottleneck. You’ll switch seamlessly between electrical and mechanical work, all while documenting your process and keeping safety front and center.
What you’ll do- Champion a safe workplace by adhering to all safety procedures.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and record it accurately.
- Diagnose and repair issues on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and related components.
- Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and supporting building systems.
- Collaborate effectively with teams across the Operations facility and maintain strong working relationships.
- Track, store, and manage parts and department inventory.
- Meet physical demands: lift up to 49 lbs and remain on your feet (standing/walking) for shifts up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Travel frequently — expect a minimum of 80% travel.
- Proficiency across core maintenance competencies necessary to perform the responsibilities listed above.
- 2 years working with automated conveyor systems and controls.
- 2 years repairing material handling equipment.
- 2 years executing predictive and preventative maintenance.
- 1 years reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
- At least 1 year applying electrical/electronic principles and troubleshooting basic I/O functions.
- Experience following OEM and recognized safety standards for MHE.
- Project management exposure (planning, coordinating, and delivering work).
- Hands-on use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience with robotic or electromechanical equipment operation and maintenance.
