Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and relationship-driven Business Development Representative specializing in Education Partnerships to join our growing educational services organization.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of expanding partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and educational organizations throughout Southern Maryland. Your ability to build relationships, initiate strategic outreach, and communicate effectively with school leaders will help drive meaningful educational partnerships and expand access to impactful student support services.

The selected candidate will represent the organization in the field, develop strategic relationships with educational decision-makers, conduct outreach, lead meetings and presentations, and assist in moving partnership opportunities from initial contact through signed agreement.
This is a field-based role requiring local travel primarily throughout Prince George’s County and Charles County, Maryland for meetings, networking, presentations, and school visits.
Candidates must currently reside within the DMV area (Maryland, Washington, D.C., or Northern Virginia).
Responsibilities
- Identify and engage prospective school, nonprofit, and educational partners through targeted outreach and relationship-building activities
- Conduct cold calls, email outreach, networking, and consistent follow-up communications
- Schedule and lead in-person and virtual meetings with administrators, principals, and organizational leaders
- Present educational programs and services professionally and persuasively
- Conduct presentations and informational sessions tailored to the needs of schools and community organizations
- Build, manage, and maintain an active pipeline of prospective partnerships
- Track outreach efforts, follow-ups, meeting outcomes, and partnership activity using CRM systems, spreadsheets, or other organizational tracking tools
- Collaborate with leadership to align programs and services with school and community needs
- Assist in negotiating partnership opportunities and helping move prospective agreements toward completion
- Maintain strong professional relationships by providing ongoing communication and responsive follow-up
- Represent the organization professionally at meetings, networking events, conferences, and school visits
- Work collaboratively with leadership and marketing efforts to support outreach and partnership growth initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, direct sales, partnership development, institutional sales, or related fields
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable with cold calling, proactive outreach, and networking
- Self-motivated, organized, proactive, and results-driven
- Ability to manage multiple leads and follow-up activities effectively
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership and support teams
- Experience working with schools, educational organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, or community organizations is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with CRM systems, sales tracking tools, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Excel, or similar organizational platforms preferred
- Knowledge of marketing and outreach strategies related to educational partnerships is a plus
- Genuine passion for education, youth development, and community impact
