Good Guard Security is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Full-Time Security Officer and Flexible Officers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol Premises: Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Monitor Surveillance Equipment: Operate and monitor CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment to identify suspicious activities.
- Access Control: Manage access control systems, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry to restricted areas.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, providing appropriate assistance and reporting to law enforcement if necessary.
- Report Writing: Prepare detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations to maintain accurate records for management review.
- Customer Service: Provide assistance and information to clients, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Emergency Preparedness: Participate in emergency drills and training sessions to ensure readiness for various emergency situations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services to coordinate responses to incidents.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce company policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
- Licenses: Valid security Texas guard license as required by state regulations.
- Skills: Strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods; must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with security systems, surveillance equipment, and basic computer skills.
Working Conditions
- Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- May require the use of personal protective equipment as necessary.
