Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Mall Security Guard to safeguard our mall premises, assets, and individuals. The ideal candidate will maintain a visible presence throughout the mall to deter illegal activities and ensure a secure environment for shoppers and staff alike. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol the mall premises regularly to ensure the safety and security of all visitors and staff.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, providing assistance and coordination with local law enforcement as necessary.
- Enforce mall policies and procedures to maintain order and a safe shopping environment.
- Conduct thorough inspections of the mall, including entrances, exits, and common areas, to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Assist in crowd control during peak hours and special events, ensuring a smooth flow of foot traffic.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from shoppers and staff, and offering assistance as needed.
- Prepare detailed reports of incidents, accidents, and unusual activities, documenting all relevant information for future reference.
- Collaborate with mall management and other security personnel to develop and implement security strategies and protocols.
- Utilize surveillance equipment and technology to monitor activities and detect suspicious behavior.
- Participate in regular training sessions and drills to stay current with security practices and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
- Valid security guard license or certification, as required by local regulations.
