Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are clearly communicated to the kitchen staff.
• Use POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders swiftly and accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision.
• Upsell menu items by suggesting complementary dishes or drinks to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met through proper food handling, serving, and bussing procedures.
• Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
• Clear tables efficiently, bus tables as necessary, and maintain a clean dining area throughout your shift.
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously.
• Collaborate with team members including hosts/hostesses, bartenders, and kitchen staff to deliver seamless service.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine or beverage pairings to assist guests effectively.
• Support nightclubs or special event areas when applicable by managing high-volume service with enthusiasm.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or upscale venues.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for efficient order processing.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and a genuine desire to create positive guest experiences.
• Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
• Experience with OpenTable or other reservation management tools is a plus.
• Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is advantageous for understanding food preparation processes.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and engaging with guests professionally.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and nightclubs as required by the venue's schedule.
