Company Description
Good Dog is an established pet care company offering grooming/daycare/boarding/walking services at our Pearl facility in north downtown San Antonio. Full service grooming launched almost 2 years ago and we are looking for an experienced groomer to join the team!
Duties
- Provide professional pet grooming services to clients' pets, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards or client preferences.
- Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and other services as part of the grooming process.
- Assess and communicate any health or behavior concerns to manager.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including proper sanitation of tools and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service. Front desk staff will assist with phone calls, scheduling, check ins & check outs, however many situations will require customer interaction.
- Assist with kennel duties (in the holding and drying room), such as cleaning up after pets when necessary.
- Ability to groom up to 8 dogs daily (full grooms, mini grooms, & spa baths).
Skills
- Proven experience as a professional pet groomer.
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to handle pets with care and compassion, ensuring their safety throughout the grooming process.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle heavy lifting.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
We are open Tuesday-Saturday from 9am-5pm.
Weekly pay: 50% commission plus 100% tips
