What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Tech II position at Good Day Farm?
The Packaging Tech Level II ensures the quality and consistency of our cannabis products on the front lines. The person in this position should set an example to their peers.
Essential Duties
- Perform and support advanced cannabis packaging activities, including machine operations like loading / unloading and understanding basic functions.
- Ensure the consistency of packaging processes while helping maintain brand identity and packaging standards.
- Leads by example in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the Packaging department, ensuring all areas meet compliance standards.
- Assist Tech Level I employees with their development by providing on-the-job training, offering feedback on their performance and mastering key packaging processes
- Cross Train on all Tech I processes to ensure versatility
- Participate in quality control checks and help identify defects or compliance issues
- Support machine operation and perform minor trouble shooting
- Preparing and printing product labels, ensuring accuracy, and monitoring packaging material to maintain compliance with rules and regulations.
- Collaborate closely with Tech III and Leads to ensure product quality
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Role Clarification
- More involvement in machine/label operations and quality control
- Plays a developmental role for Tech I employees, contributing to their growth guidance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or production setting preferred.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining product quality.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age (as per legal requirements).
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check
- Reliable transportation
